About the Role
We're looking for a Growth Engineer to be the technical heart of our customer relationships. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and customer success — helping customers adopt and get lasting value from our product. When customers hit a technical wall, you're the person who understands both their goals and our system deeply enough to unblock them.
What You'll Do
- Own the technical relationship with a portfolio of customers • Lead implementation: integrations, configuration, data migration, and API setup.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to engineering when needed and seeing them through to resolution.
- Partner with Growth & Retention Managers to drive adoption, expansion, and retention.
- Build solutions and scripts that help customers succeed with our product.
- Run technical reviews, health checks, and best-practice sessions to keep accounts healthy and reduce churn.
- Translate customer feedback into clear, prioritized input for product and engineering.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and self-service resources.
What We're Looking For Required
- [2+] years in a customer-facing technical role (Customer Success Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, Sales Engineering, or similar).
- Strong technical aptitude: comfortable with APIs, integrations, and reading/writing scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL).
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- A genuine customer-first mindset and strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with patience and persistence.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously. Preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with [SaaS / cloud / your product category] and a technical customer base.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools like Postman, SQL clients, or log analysis tools.
- Understanding of common integration patterns (REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML, ETL).
- Track record of improving retention, adoption, or customer health metrics.
