  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, reliable, secure, and high-performance backend services and customer-facing APIs.
  • Build solutions for device status and health monitoring, including processing telemetry and identifying device health conditions and operational issues.
  • Design and implement REST APIs, Webhooks, partner integrations, asynchronous workflows, and event-driven services.
  • Design systems capable of processing high volumes of real-time device data while meeting performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
  • Define and enforce API standards including versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, error handling, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and optimize data processing pipelines for large-scale device and platform data.
  • Address distributed-system challenges including retries, idempotency, fault tolerance, failure handling, and data consistency.
  • Work with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and partner teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead architecture reviews, design reviews, technical discussions, and engineering decisions for complex initiatives.
  • Identify and address scalability, reliability, performance, security, and operational risks across device and platform services.
  • Drive projects through requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Investigate complex production issues, identify root causes, and drive sustainable fixes and improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and establish engineering best practices.
  • Participate in hiring, technical interviews, team development, and capability building where required.
  • Work with engineering leadership to plan execution, manage technical dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
  • Promote automation, observability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the platform.
