Key Responsibilities 1. Platform Strategy & BIM Productization • Define the vision, roadmap, and operating model for Pinnacle’s PiVDC / BIM Engineering Construction platform. • Convert repetitive BIM engineering workflows into standardised, scalable, and technology enabled platform capabilities. • Identify high-impact use cases across design coordination, model authoring, clash management, quantity extraction, constructability review, and drawing automation. • Translate business and delivery needs into platform features, automation priorities, and measurable productivity outcomes. 2. BIM Engineering & Revit Domain Leadership • Guide teams on BIM standards, templates, families, LOD/LOI requirements, model health, QA/QC, and project setup best practices. • Ensure platform solutions remain grounded in real production workflows for architecture, structure, MEP, and construction coordination. • Drive standardisation of BIM execution processes across geographies, client types, and project typologies. 3. AI, Automation & Digital Transformation • Lead automation initiatives using AI, rule-based automation, scripts, APIs, data models, and workflow engines to improve BIM delivery speed and accuracy. • Work with technology teams to build AI-assisted tools for model validation, drawing checks, quantity take-off, issue detection, design-rule compliance, and productivity analytics. • Evaluate emerging technologies including generative AI, computer vision, digital twins, BIM data lakes, and model intelligence for practical enterprise adoption. • Define governance for AI usage, data quality, model reliability, responsible automation, data privacy, and ethical AI practices within BIM workflows. • Establish an Ethical AI Framework governing the use of AI tools trained on client project data, ensuring auditability, model reliability, and compliance with data privacy protocols. • Ensure alignment of all AI/automation initiatives with ISO 19650 information management standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Production-Specific Automation Use Cases to prioritise: ○ Modelling Automation: Parametric family creation, automated model setup, template-driven project initialisation via Dynamo / Revit API ○ Shop Drawing Production: Automated sheet generation, view creation, annotation, and dimensioning routines to accelerate drawing deliverables ○ Coordination & Clash Detection: Automated clash reporting workflows, BCF issue management integration, and resolution tracking dashboards ○ Quantity Take-Off (QTO): Model-based automated QTO, schedule extraction, and integration with estimation or ERP tools ○ Drawing Quality Checks: Rule-based automated QC for drawing standards, layer/naming conventions, and LOD compliance verification ○ AI-Assisted Design Review: Computer vision for drawing anomaly detection and generative design option evaluation ○ Productivity Analytics: Automated parsing of BPMS and ProHance data for efficiency reporting, bottleneck identification, and resource utilisation dashboards 4. Team Leadership & R&D Management • Lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction to an existing team of approximately 20 R&D members comprising BIM technologists, automation developers, and digital delivery specialists. • Define team structure, work allocation, performance objectives, and professional development pathways for R&D personnel. • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and disciplined delivery within the R&D team. • Oversee the Proof-of-Concept (POC) to Production pipeline — governing the transition of validated tools and automation solutions into live production workflows. • Collaborate with the Pi-VDC team to align platform development priorities with production delivery requirements. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration • Collaborate closely with delivery heads, project managers, software engineering, data/AI teams, sales, and client success teams. • Bridge the gap between BIM operations and technology teams by translating domain problems into clear functional requirements. • Support client demonstrations, solutioning, proposals, and strategic discussions where BIM platform capability is a competitive differentiator. • Represent Pinnacle at industry events, BIM conferences, and thought leadership forums to strengthen brand visibility in the digital transformation space. 6. Internal Systems Integration • Own the data architecture connecting production tools (BPMS, ProHance, PiVDC) to analytics pipelines and AI models. • Ensure seamless integration of automation outputs with BPMS for real-time performance tracking and KPI reporting. • Leverage ProHance productivity data to identify workflow inefficiencies and prioritise automation interventions. • Collaborate with IT and product teams to ensure platform tools are fully integrated with existing ERP, project management, and estimation systems. 7. Governance, Quality & Business Impact • Define metrics for productivity, quality, rework reduction, delivery predictability, and automation adoption. • Create SOPs, playbooks, knowledge repositories, and QA frameworks for platform-enabled BIM delivery. • Continuously review delivery data to identify process bottlenecks and opportunities for automation or standardisation. • Ensure the platform improves client value through speed, accuracy, constructability, and measurable cost/time savings. • Lead technology scouting and vendor evaluation (Autodesk, Bentley, and emerging AI vendors) to maintain competitive platform relevance. 8. Estimation Support • Provide technical inputs to support high-value project estimation using platform-derived productivity benchmarks and historical delivery data. • Participate in estimation reviews for Mega Projects in collaboration with the Technical Head and Production Centre Head.
10+ years in BIM/VDC, digital engineering, or AEC technology delivery; with leadership responsibility in recent roles
