About Team
The IT SaaS Engineering Team is the backbone of MongoDB's go-to-market operations. We build and run the Salesforce platform — with the automation, security, and governance that Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Security, and Compliance rely on daily to manage customer relationships and drive business growth.
Role Overview
Join us as a Senior Salesforce Engineer and take ownership of the CPQ and CLM systems that power MongoDB's quote-to-contract lifecycle. You'll design and build scalable pricing, quoting, and contract automation solutions end-to-end — from first design conversation to production support — working alongside senior engineers and stakeholders across Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal. This is a role for an engineer who enjoys solving hard technical problems, cares deeply about accuracy and compliance in revenue-critical systems, and wants to bring modern, AI-augmented development practices into how enterprise Q2C solutions get built.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CPQ configuration (product rules, price rules, bundles, discounting logic) and CLM workflows (clause libraries, approval chains, e-signature integration)
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and Finance stakeholders to translate quote-to-cash requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions
- Own delivery across the full solution lifecycle — design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver reliable, well-governed CPQ/CLM solutions in an Agile environment
- Drive strong engineering practices across code quality, documentation, release management, and platform governance
- Identify opportunities to simplify pricing logic, reduce legacy quote template debt, and strengthen the overall Q2C operating model
- Troubleshoot complex pricing, approval, or contract-generation issues and deliver sustainable, long-term fixes
- Stay current on CPQ/CLM platform capabilities and apply them thoughtfully to improve delivery quality
- Leverage AI-powered engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce Vibes, Claude Code, Cursor) to improve productivity, code quality, and documentation — with sound judgment on security, privacy, and responsible AI usage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality CPQ/CLM solutions aligned with business and compliance needs
- Support enhancements, break/fix issues, and ongoing maintenance across CPQ, CLM, and related integrations (ERP/billing)
- Investigate pricing, contract, and integration issues, working closely with development, operations, Deal Desk, and Legal teams to resolve them
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders on delivery status, technical challenges, and solution trade-offs
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery
- Research new CPQ/CLM platform capabilities and engineering approaches to improve the Q2C ecosystem
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and administrators where needed
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 9+ years of experience in Salesforce development and enterprise application engineering, with 3+ years specifically in CPQ and/or CLM implementation
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (product/price rules, quote templates, approval processes) and a CLM platform (Malbek, DocuSign CLM, Conga, or similar)
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, Flows, SOQL, APIs, and platform customization
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, governor limits, declarative automation, integration patterns, and scalable solution design
- Experience integrating CPQ/CLM with ERP/billing systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment processes, code refactoring, and performance optimization
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (PD2) certification strongly preferred; Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification a plus; JavaScript Developer, Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications also valued
- Working knowledge of AI-powered and agentic development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Salesforce Agentforce Vibes) and the ability to use them effectively to improve productivity and delivery
Success Measures
- In 3 months, you will: Develop a strong understanding of MongoDB’s Salesforce ecosystem, business processes, and current implementations by working closely with senior engineers and stakeholders
- In 6 months, you will: Successfully deliver one or more critical Salesforce initiatives and establish yourself as a trusted technical contributor within the Sales Apps team
- In 12 months, you will: Become a go-to engineer for key Salesforce solutions, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and contribute meaningfully to the scalability, quality, and long-term evolution of the CRM platform
