IE Engineer does the following: Evaluate manufacturing, delivery, customer experience, or other systems and identify ways to improve productivity and quality. Collect data on processes and production through observations of work activities, time studies, and staff surveys
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Optimize, plan, and analyze new machine layout.
- Monitor equipment capacity & drive for bottleneck improvements.
- Carry out work & time studies for optimization of the production process & equipment.
- Work across functions to understand productivity issues and recommend continuous improvements to processes.
- Generate statistics on a periodic basis for analysis to ensure improvement targets are being met.
- Implement and be involved in an augmented project to improve factory efficiency.
- Supervise, guide, and coordinate with IE technicians on the tasks carried out.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related discipline.
PREFERRED:
- Knowledge in Six Sigma preferred/required.
- Hands-on knowledge in BRISCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Analytic and knowledgeable in IE field.
SKILLS
- Basic computer skills preferably in spreadsheets
- Basic BRISCAD
- 3 years of relevant experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
