The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Design and govern enterprise application and systems architectures, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions and roadmaps .

Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technical guidelines to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and best practices.

Architect and review service-oriented, microservices, SaaS, web services, API, and message-driven solutions to support business and operational requirements.

Lead solution design across multi-platform environments, including enterprise application hosting and infrastructure deployment on AIX, Linux, and Windows platforms.

Provide technical leadership across Java or .NET ecosystems, middleware platforms, and multiple technology stacks to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.

Establish and promote engineering best practices, including code quality, unit testing, test coverage, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Conduct architecture and technology reviews, identifying risks, optimization opportunities, and recommendations for modernization and platform enhancement.

Define target-state architectures, portfolio roadmaps, resource optimization strategies, and risk mitigation plans to support long-term business objectives .

Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure successful solution delivery, governance, and adoption.

Work with vendors, cloud providers, internal teams, and client stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions are practical and executable.

Drive innovation through AI, automation, modern engineering practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Experience and Skills:

10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, architecture, consulting, digital transformation, or large-scale IT modernization.

4+ years' relevant experience in banking or financial services

1. Application & Systems Architecture

Breaking down enterprise requirements into system specifications

Engineering web services, web APIs, and message queues

Designing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) & Microservices

Architecting scalable, multi-tenant SaaS-based platforms

Designing and deploying in multi-OS systems (AIX, LINUX, Windows)

Reviewing infrastructure setups and enterprise application hosting

2. Software Stacks & Middleware

Mastery of more than one development technology stack

Enterprise expertise in Java OR .NET technology suites

Comprehensive knowledge of middleware technologies

3. Engineering Governance

Driving engineering best practices (Unit Testing, Test Coverage, Code Quality)

Measuring, monitoring, and profiling performance of upgraded or newly installed systems

4. Enterprise Architecture (EA)

Setting technical standards and Enterprise Architecture Governance Frameworks

Portfolio risk mitigation, resource optimization, and target roadmap definitions

Preferred skills:

Modern front-end and user interface technologies

Functional exposure to C++, PHP, or other open-source development ecosystems

Proven experience making major technical design choices and ownership of lifecycle consequences

Working / hands-on experience with EA tools (e.g., Mega Hopex , Avolution ABACUS, Planview, Orbus iServer )

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent.
• MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., or equivalent postgraduate qualification is acceptable.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
