About the Role
DevOps engineer is critical to the project’s overall success, right from planning to supporting primary KPI as customer satisfaction and productivity. A DevOps Engineering Expert has an essential role in integrating the project functions and resources across the product life cycle, right from planning, building, testing, and deployment to support.
Location & Commitments
- Permanent full time role based at our office - Kuala Lumpur (Mondays to Fridays)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the cloud infra environments
- Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems.
- Collaborate with application teams to apply DevOps practices in the development lifecycle
- Ability to create solution prototypes and conduct proof of concept of new tools
- Design repeatable, automated, and scalable processes to increase efficiency and improve software quality such as managing Infrastructure as Code & work on internal tooling which simplifies workflows.
- Automate and streamline our operations and processes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues / outages and Provide operational support
- Engage in incident handling, especially supporting a culture of post-mortem and knowledge sharing
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered agents and agentic automation solutions for DevOps operations, including infrastructure management, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and deployment workflows.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps/Currently practicing DevOps methodology.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure preferably AWS
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration technologies
- Demonstrable hands-on proficiency in AI technologies, with practical experience building and implementing AI agents/agentic workflows for DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, or IT operations.
- Hands-on experience in any Configuration Management like Puppet/Chef/Ansible.
- Ability to do scripting (any one of Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python, golang, etc.).
- Troubleshooting and system engineering exposure in Linux production environments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while continuously evaluating emerging technologies
- Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Good to have experience in database technologies (MariaDB/MySQL, etc)
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Logging, and Monitoring stack.
- Should be well versed with IaaC specially Terraform
- Should be well versed with networking at AWS
- Should be able to manage infrastructure operations at the bank
- Have a few weekend side projects up on GitHub
- Have contributed to an open-source project
- Have worked at a product company
- Have a working knowledge of a backend programming language
