At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
We’re looking for a Manager, Technical Program Management to build and lead the Security TPM organization and help define how Security operates at scale.
This is more than a program management role. You’ll help shape the strategy, operating model, and mechanisms that enable Security to execute on its highest-impact priorities. You’ll work across Snowflake to align leaders, turn complex technical and business challenges into clear strategies and decisions, and build the systems that allow teams to move faster with greater clarity and accountability.
And as AI fundamentally changes how software is built and how security threats emerge, we have an opportunity to rethink how Security itself operates. You’ll help lead that transformation, exploring how AI can change the way we plan, execute, measure, and scale security work.
AS A MANAGER, TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - SECURITY, YOU WILL:
- Shape the Security operating model. Define and evolve the mechanisms, planning processes, and operating rhythms that enable Security to execute against its most important strategic priorities.
- Turn strategy into execution. Partner with Security and leaders across Snowflake to translate company and security strategy into clear priorities, investment decisions, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment at the highest level. Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other organizations across Snowflake to navigate complex dependencies, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure Security is an effective strategic partner to the business.
- Lead the evolution of Security in the age of AI. Identify opportunities to fundamentally change how we run security programs using AI—from planning and prioritization to risk management, execution, and measurement—and turn those opportunities into scalable capabilities.
- Raise the quality of strategic decision-making. Bring technical and product depth to architecture and planning discussions, pressure-test assumptions, surface risks and tradeoffs, and help leaders make crisp, informed decisions.
- Build and lead a world-class TPM team. Hire, coach, and develop TPMs who can operate effectively across highly technical, ambiguous, and business-critical problems. Raise the bar for what exceptional Security program leadership looks like.
- Build for scale, not just the problem in front of you. Identify systemic friction across teams and functions and create lightweight mechanisms that improve how Security operates across the organization.
- Create clarity from complexity. Develop compelling narratives that connect technical strategy, security risk, business priorities, and customer outcomes for executives and cross-functional leaders.
- Own outcomes in ambiguity. Take on problems where the path forward isn’t obvious, establish structure where it doesn’t exist, and mobilize teams toward meaningful outcomes.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Significant experience leading complex technical programs, product initiatives, or engineering organizations, with a track record of operating at both strategic and execution levels.
- Experience building and leading high-performing TPM teams.
- Strong technical depth and the ability to engage credibly with engineers, architects, and product leaders on complex technical decisions.
- A track record of influencing strategy and driving outcomes across organizational boundaries without relying on direct authority.
- Exceptional judgment and comfort operating in environments where priorities are evolving, problems are ambiguous, and the stakes are high.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to turn complex technical and organizational issues into clear decisions, narratives, and actions.
- A builder's mindset: you look for opportunities to simplify, scale, and fundamentally improve how teams operate.
- Curiosity about AI and a willingness to experiment with how emerging technology can transform the way organizations work.
WHY THIS ROLE
Security is becoming more important, and more complex, as Snowflake scales and AI changes the technology landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of Security, Engineering, Product, strategy, and organizational leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to build a team, shape how one of Snowflake’s most critical functions operates, and help define what a modern, AI-native Security organization looks like.
If you’re excited by ambiguous problems, organizational scale, technical strategy, and the opportunity to build something that doesn’t yet exist, we’d love to hear from you.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
