Snowflake is seeking a Revenue Manager to join our rapidly growing company within our Revenue Operations team. As a member of the Revenue team, you will have exposure to a wide range of business activities including partnering cross-functionally with groups like Professional Services, Deal Desk & FP&A, working on OTC (order to cash) cycles, as well as helping design/implement process improvements and innovation. In addition, this role will be involved in 10Q/10K reporting, participate in the SOX compliance process, and support ongoing revenue process improvement and execution. This role will also be closely tied to automation efforts, process improvement/design for new products, and all elements of the monthly & quarterly revenue close. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to learn and assist with other revenue operations processes and responsibilities.
This role requires someone to be in the Menlo Park or Dublin office 3 days per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review sales contracts and associated outcomes in automated systems.
- Execute month-end close activities including preparation and review of journal entries and revenue reconciliations.
- Work closely with internal business partners to ensure proper revenue accounting process design and efficiency, while balancing the needs of the business.
- Prepare key revenue-related internal controls in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Assist in external quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Lead special projects or initiatives as needed
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of revenue recognition experience (Big 4 Audit experience is a plus)
- ASC606 technical revenue experience preferred
- Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to communicate technical accounting to non-finance personnel
- Advanced skills in Excel; experience with SFDC, Workday or other ERP system, and revenue accounting system (e.g., RevPro, RAR)
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification is strongly preferred
