Java Backend Developer (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices)
We’re looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong Core Java fundamentals, hands-on experience in multithreading/concurrency, and solid knowledge of data structures. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services, designing robust APIs, and ensuring high performance and reliability of applications.
Position Summary
Level: Consultant or equivalent
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality backend solutions within defined timelines. You may also mentor junior team members and collaborate with onsite/offshore teams to understand and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Work You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices
- Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency (multithreading, async processing)
- Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, support)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
- Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and performance tuning
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices
Qualifications
Must Have Skills / Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Java backend development
- Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)
- Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development
- Experience in microservices architecture
- Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Education
