Your Team and Role

Working on the Design Functional Team, you'll shape marketing creative for DuckDuckGo's growing portfolio spanning Duck.ai, search, browsers, and subscriptions, using tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, and work on related projects. Recent projects include:

  • Design and lead creative campaigns introducing App Tracking Protection to help people block hidden trackers on Android
  • Design marketing creative supporting the launch and growth of Duck.ai, our free, private way to chat with multiple AI models

As a Creative Design Lead (Senior Designer II) you'll be a hands-on creative force and idea generator, taking full ownership of design work from concept through execution, across multiple concurrent campaigns. You'll drive high-craft, on-brand creative for Duck.ai, search, browsers and subscriptions with minimal oversight, while advising fellow designers on marketing and brand execution. You'll navigate cross-functional stakeholders during scoping and ideation, evolve our brand language with fresh creative concepts, and help build reusable systems that make marketing production more efficient, growing into a go-to advisor for brand and marketing design across the team.

About You

  • 9+ years of hands-on marketing or advertising design experience at a recognizable consumer-facing brand (either working in house or agency side).
  • Versatility in design with a portfolio demonstrating range, depth, strong execution, and a distinct creative point of view.
  • High proficiency in design fundamentals, including typography, color, and composition, with a strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional creativity, aesthetic judgment, and design intuition.
  • A track record of proven experience developing original ideas and leading creative direction across conceptual and strategic execution for 360 marketing campaigns & advertising.
  • Comfort driving projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, creative direction, and delivery.
  • An impact-driven approach, using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strengths in generating ideas, exploring multiple creative directions, and inspiring peers.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly through written project scopes that define the problem, user impact, and proposed path forward.
  • Experience advising or mentoring other designers is a plus.

Compensation

$200,267 USD annually and stock options. Compensation is transparent across the organization, and all team members within the same professional level and global region receive the same compensation.
