<p class="p1"><strong>The role</strong></p>

<p class="p1"><span lang="EN-GB">As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team that builds and operates scalable, reliable software products. You will combine people leadership with strong technical judgement, working closely with Product and other partners to turn priorities into meaningful customer and business outcomes.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><strong>What you'll do</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Lead, coach and develop a high-performing engineering team</li>

<li>Partner closely with Product to define priorities and successfully deliver the roadmap</li>

<li>Drive technical excellence, engineering quality and operational maturity</li>

<li>Lead architecture and technical discussions across multiple teams</li>

<li>Drive strong engineering practices across delivery, quality, security, reliability and operational excellence.</li>

<li>Improve system reliability, scalability and performance for a business-critical platform</li>

<li>Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple engineering teams and external dependencies</li>

<li>Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement</li>

<li>Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives across AutoScout24 Group</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>AI &amp; Engineering Productivity</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Operate at a high level of efficiency using modern AI-assisted development tools</li>

<li>Coach engineers on adopting AI to improve software quality and delivery speed</li>

<li>Act as a role model for effective AI usage across engineering and leadership activities</li>

<li>Identify opportunities to integrate AI throughout the software development lifecycle</li>

<li>Support the team’s AI maturity and adoption over time</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What you'll bring</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams</li>

<li>Strong prior experience as a hands-on software engineer</li>

<li>Experience building and operating large-scale backend or distributed systems</li>

<li>Experience building and operating scalable software systems</li>

<li>Strong software engineering background; experience with modern programming languages and development practices</li>

<li>Experience improving engineering quality, reliability and operational practices</li>

<li>Proven ability to deliver complex cross-team initiatives with multiple stakeholders</li>

<li>Passion for coaching engineers and building high-performing teams</li>

<li>Experience driving adoption of modern AI development practices within engineering teams is highly desirable</li>
