AI Engineering Manager (India)

We are seeking an AI Engineering Manager (India) to lead our India-based AI engineering team, driving architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions across Midera's global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the India-based AI engineering and implementation team.

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop AI engineers and developers.

• Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching.

• Personally contribute to development of high‑priority AI applications and integrations.

• Design and architect enterprise‑grade AI applications, agents, and copilots.

• Lead technical design for solutions involving LLMs, generative AI, and RAG.

• Partner with the U.S.‑based Manager, Enterprise AI on team structure, priorities, and resource planning.

• Establish coding and engineering standards across projects.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Approximately 10+ years of professional software engineering, cloud engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or related technical experience.

• Strong Python development skills with hands‑on software engineering experience.

• Experience designing and delivering production‑grade enterprise applications.

• Demonstrated experience developing generative AI or LLM‑based applications and working with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.

• Experience integrating applications with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, authentication, authorization, APIs, security, source control, and CI/CD.

• Experience performing code reviews and technical design reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, or Microsoft Power Platform.

• Experience with Dynamics 365, CRM systems, or enterprise data platforms.

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering, or supply‑chain environments.

• Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, or cloud‑based AI operations.
