About the Opportunity

We’re seeking ARDMS-registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers to apply their clinical imaging expertise to the evaluation and improvement of advanced AI systems.

In this role, you’ll create realistic ultrasound scenarios and assess AI-generated responses for sonographic accuracy, imaging technique, clinical reasoning, protocol selection, findings interpretation, and patient safety.

This is expert-level evaluation work for experienced sonographers—not routine data annotation.

What You’ll Do

• Create realistic ultrasound scenarios involving scanning technique, sonographic findings, protocols, measurements, and appropriate next steps.

• Develop reference answers that explain the clinical and technical reasoning behind protocols, measurements, and findings.

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for sonographic accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and patient safety.

• Identify responses that appear plausible but could overlook important findings or lead to an incorrect clinical interpretation.

• Provide clear technical reasoning that allows other imaging professionals to understand and evaluate your conclusions.

Relevant backgrounds include:

• Diagnostic medical sonography

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

• Ultrasound professionals with depth in image optimization, protocol selection, measurements, and sonographic findings

Required Qualifications

• Current ARDMS registration, including RDMS, RDCS, or RVT in at least one specialty.

• At least 2 years of clinical scanning experience.

• Strong knowledge of ultrasound image optimization, protocol selection, measurements, and sonographic findings.

• Ability to document scanning technique and clinical reasoning clearly in written English.

• Availability to contribute at least 10 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple ARDMS specialties, including vascular or cardiac.

• Experience in high-risk obstetrics, musculoskeletal, or pediatric sonography.

• Experience training students, new sonographers, or other imaging professionals.

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote and asynchronous.

• Independent contractor engagement.

• Minimum 10 hours per week with no stated maximum.

• Ability to scale your weekly workload up or down based on availability and project needs.

• No screen recording, keystroke monitoring, or idle-time tracking.

• Ongoing project work rather than isolated task batches.
