Diagnose equipment faults and performance issues across industrial, HVAC, elevator, heavy equipment, marine, rail, utility, or telecommunications systems using technical documentation.
Analyze PLC logic and industrial control systems to identify root causes of operational problems.
Develop evidence-based troubleshooting approaches and corrective actions.
Evaluate technical scenarios against relevant US safety and operational codes, including NFPA 70, NFPA 79, ASME A17.1, and OSHA requirements.
Document troubleshooting methods, findings, diagnostic reasoning, and corrective actions in clear technical reports.
Explain complex technical concepts and diagnostic decisions effectively in written and verbal formats.
Provide practical insight into maintenance, service, repair, and fault-finding strategies based on real-world field experience.
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in industrial, HVAC, elevator, hydraulic, heavy vehicle, marine, rail, utility, telecommunications, or closely related equipment.
Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, and pneumatic layouts.
Deep familiarity with PLC programming, industrial controls, equipment diagnostics, and fault-finding processes.
Strong working knowledge of applicable US safety and operational requirements, including NFPA 70, NFPA 79, ASME A17.1, and OSHA.
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical information and develop sound diagnostic conclusions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to translate complex troubleshooting and repair processes into clear technical documentation.
Ability to work independently and provide accurate, detail-oriented technical input remotely.
