Technical Project Manger

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will lead cross‑functional technology initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. This on‑site position requires hands‑on coordination of Agile and Waterfall teams while managing scope, schedule, and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project and Jira, integrating Agile sprints and Waterfall milestones.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews to drive iterative delivery.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues to senior leadership as needed.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through regular status reporting, workshops, and governance meetings.
• Control project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial compliance.
• Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards.
• Lead post‑implementation reviews and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required qualifications

• Proven experience (1–40 years) managing technology projects in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Jira and Microsoft Project for scheduling and tracking.
• Strong risk management and issue resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Budget planning and financial tracking experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or DevOps pipelines.
• Background in software development or systems engineering.
• Familiarity with portfolio management tools (e.g., Planview, Clarity).
