About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented Video Annotation Specialists to support a data labeling project focused on training and evaluating AI systems. You will review video content and apply structured labels, tags, and classifications according to project-specific guidelines and quality standards.

The role requires consistent annotation, careful interpretation of instructions, and clear documentation of annotation decisions. You will work with digital annotation tools and collaborate with project leads and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate, complete, and timely deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Review video content carefully and annotate it according to project guidelines, instructions, and evaluation rubrics.

• Apply consistent tags, labels, and classifications to video segments while maintaining high levels of precision.

• Document annotation decisions clearly and communicate reasoning when required.

• Use digital annotation platforms and adapt quickly to new tools and interfaces.

• Collaborate with project leads and quality assurance specialists to clarify requirements and resolve annotation questions.

• Review submitted work for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before delivery.

• Meet project milestones and submit annotations within agreed timelines.

• Identify unclear guidelines or recurring annotation challenges and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with video annotation and a strong understanding of annotation rubrics.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply labeling standards consistently.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to changing project requirements.

• Experience in data annotation, data labeling, or similar projects.

• Proficiency with digital annotation tools or related software.

• Ability to manage assigned tasks independently and deliver accurate work within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing and labeling video content across different annotation categories.

• Familiarity with quality assurance processes for annotated data.

• Ability to recognize inconsistencies and seek clarification when instructions are ambiguous.

• A proactive approach to improving annotation workflows and documentation.

• Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams.

Working Arrangement

This is a remote contractor engagement. You will work with digital annotation tools, follow project-specific rubrics, and submit completed annotations according to agreed milestones.

Video editing experience is not required.
