ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for tooling/fixture maintenance and to continue into containment action and long-term solutions.
- Maintain a working knowledge or process flows, fixtures piece part configuration and any other assigned technical area.
- Responsible for the operations using key indices tool as Cpk’s, MTBF, MTTR, and to react to any abnormalities displayed by those indices.
- Participate in product and technology transfer between work sites.
- To provide upgrading and modification capability for jigs and fixtures.
- Provide technical training on the specified technical areas to technicians and manufacturing personnel.
- Provide supervision and guidance to technical crew.
- To adequately train and control the action of their employees so as to minimize accidents and incidents causing injury and damage.
- To liaise with vendor supplying tooling/fixtures spares and fixtures components.
- Other job assignment from supervisor and management.
- Ensure commonality/standardization among same process/system within related manufacturing sites.
- To analyze the work of the responsible unit to primarily find risks or HIRAC in collaboration with EHS officers and manager to mitigate risk.
- Participate company activities such as ISO, 7S, EHS, RBA, BCM, ZDM, etc
- Comply 7S activity to ensure working area is good housekeeping.
- Comply with EH&S policy to ensure all workforce safety and sustain good environment.
- Consult to Engineer level and Technician.
- Provide OCAP flow to support triggering system and sustaining.
- Authorization to create, review and revise Tooling setup and any tooling procedure relate.
- Authorization to set up and revise trigger limit and Tools down time OCAP flow.
REQUIRED:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics/Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics), Science Degree or related field.
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ yrs experience
- Knowledge in SPC, Lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma, FMEA+, 8D will be an added advantage
PREFERRED:
- HDD manufacturing, ESD, and contamination control knowledge
- IMS, BCM, safety, fire prevention, RBA, and sustainability awareness
- Continuous improvement and problem-solving tools: Kaizen, Lean, QCC, FMEA, 8D, and basic statistics
- PLC, automation, robotics, machine vision, sensors, pneumatics, and microcontrollers
- Mechanical drawings and GD&T knowledge
- Industry 5.0 awareness
SKILLS:
- Computer literate i.e., Microsoft office (Excel, Power point, Word), Minitab, Spotfire, etc.
- Communication skill, Presentation skill.
- Well communication in English written, listening and verbal.
- Tooling, jig, fixture, and automated-equipment troubleshooting
- PLC programming, HMI development, and control-system troubleshooting
- Python programming for automation, data analysis, equipment monitoring, and dashboard development
- AI and machine-learning applications for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and fault diagnosis
