Overview
The Labor Relations Sr Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Seeking a Vice President to manage our labor relations framework in India. This role requires an understanding of the Indian labor landscape combined with a focus on data-informed operations, process optimization, and technology. The ideal candidate will be a commercially aware, process-centric leader who can leverage data, AI, and automation to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Management & Execution: Manage labor relations activities using a data-informed approach. Use analytics to support union and stakeholder relationships and lead settlement negotiations.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with all Indian labor laws (including new Labor Codes & DPDP Act). Implement technology to automate reporting and manage regulatory audits and inspections.
- Risk & Data Management: Oversee the HR risk framework, using data to manage litigation and employee separations. Champion data integrity and digital record-keeping.
- Technology & Business Partnership: Drive the adoption of AI and automation in labor-related HR processes. Collaborate with senior leadership on key business projects, providing data-informed insights.

Qualifications
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Progressive experience in a Labor Relations or related Regulatory/ Risk and Control role in India.
- Demonstrated experience in a complex, regulated industry (financial services preferred).
- Proven track record of using data, technology, or automation to improve HR functions.
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws and their practical application.
Education
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, or a related field is required.
