Join our Motor Division as a Claims Handler, managing a portfolio of motor damage claims for key clients.

As a Motor Claims Handler, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of motor files. You will be required to assess both liability and quantum, determine coverage and manage your assigned claims in an expedient, compliant and customer-focused way.

We're looking for someone with experience in managing motor claims, ideally gained in a similar motor claims environment. We are looking for someone to join this fast growing team who is looking for opportunities to develop personally and is able to contribute to improving the overall performance of the team.

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Claims Portfolio Management – Essential experience managing motor claims in accordance with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Insurance Qualifications – APA qualification is a minimum requirement, ideally the candidate will have CIP and progressing with further qualifications.
  • Technical Claims Knowledge – The ideal candidate will have knowledge of how to assess both liability and quantum, the investigations to be undertaken and a good understanding of motor coverages generally. .
  • Investigation & Decision Making – Confident carrying out desktop liability investigations, reviewing evidence, determining liability and making accurate, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Customer, Client & Complaint Handling – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach, confidence liaising with clients and colleagues, and complaint handling experience considered advantageous.
  • Negotiation & Claims Resolution – Strong negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and settle claims in a timely, compliant and commercially aware manner.
  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy – High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing documentation, assessing claims and maintaining records.
  • Adaptability & Resilience – Able to thrive in a dynamic and target-driven environment, managing deadlines, changing priorities and business needs with a positive and flexible approach.
