Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Electrical Takeoff & Drafter Specialist with experience in quantity takeoffs and a solid understanding of HVAC and electrical systems, including low-voltage designs. This role is responsible for performing takeoffs, updating and creating technical drawings and schematics, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in AutoCAD, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is able to follow instructions while also thinking independently. Strong communication skills and professional email etiquette are essential, as the role involves regular coordination and timely responses. A positive attitude, adaptability, and a proactive, organized approach are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quantity takeoffs from HVAC and electrical plans.
- Update existing drawings by incorporating new designs as provided.
- Create and revise schematics as needed.
- Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Revise drawings to reflect completed work, ensuring accuracy for future reference.
- Perform other tasks related to the position.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Strong email etiquette and professional written communication skills.
- Proven experience as a drafter with some electrical knowledge.
- Proven experience in takeoffs.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in low-voltage electrical drafting and plans.
- Quick-learner with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Out-of-the-box thinker, reliable, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and confident approach.
- Positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours for at least four hours.
- Interested in long-term career opportunities.
- Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
