Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager with strong technical fluency and a solid marketing foundation.

This role is suited to a marketer who understands the frontend and developer tooling ecosystem and can communicate effectively with technical audiences.

You should be comfortable learning product-specific concepts quickly and translating technical capabilities into clear positioning, messaging, and customer-facing content.

This is a hands-on role where you will personally create and own customer-facing marketing assets while also contributing strategically to positioning, segmentation, launches, and go-to-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create customer-facing assets including sales decks, one-pagers, technical guides, landing pages, case studies, and campaign assets such as calculators and quizzes.
  • Draft technical content independently and accurately, working with Developer Experience teams for review rather than relying on them for initial drafts.
  • Translate feature releases into launch materials that clearly communicate what changed, who it matters to, and why.
  • Own positioning and messaging for both the Storybook and platform offerings, including how the two relate to each other.
  • Develop audience segmentation and understand who buys, who adopts, and what each audience needs to hear.
  • Maintain competitive and category positioning and ensure it is reflected consistently across the website, campaigns, and sales conversations.
  • Partner with Sales and the CRO on enablement, identifying what sales teams need and what materials are actually being used.
  • Collaborate with Developer Experience engineers to ensure marketing and developer-facing content reinforce one another without unnecessary duplication.
  • Bring customer and field insights back to Product teams.
  • Measure the impact of product marketing initiatives on pipeline and product adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, developer marketing, or an adjacent role where you personally produced customer-facing assets rather than primarily briefing an agency.
  • Strong technical fluency within the frontend and developer tooling ecosystem, with the ability to discuss concepts such as components, testing, and CI/CD.
  • A portfolio of work samples that you can walk through, including examples such as landing pages, guides, calculators, decks, or webinars.
  • Demonstrated strategic range beyond execution, including positioning, segmentation, and launch narrative development.
  • Strong independent writing skills, with the ability to develop technical content to approximately 90% completion before developer review.
  • Comfortable receiving and incorporating direct feedback in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical AI fluency, with experience incorporating AI into your actual marketing workflow.

What You'll Bring

  • A strong marketing foundation combined with technical fluency.
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Experience creating high-quality marketing assets independently.
  • Strong understanding of product positioning, audience segmentation, and go-to-market strategy.
  • The ability to work effectively across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Developer Experience teams.
  • A hands-on approach to product marketing, with ownership extending from strategy through execution and measurement.
