About the Role

Apply your contract law expertise to help evaluate and improve AI systems performing real-world legal work. This role focuses on contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining, particularly within technology transactions.

You’ll work through simulated contract negotiations, evaluate AI-generated responses to legal scenarios, and develop rigorous evaluation frameworks that help improve how AI systems identify contractual risks and interpret legal language. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Review & Redlining

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.

• Review and assess contract language, proposed revisions, and negotiation positions.

• Apply practical legal judgment to identify contractual risks and issues.

• Evaluate contract scenarios involving technology transactions.

AI Response Evaluation

• Review AI-generated responses to contract scenarios.

• Assess outputs for legal accuracy, precision, risk identification, and appropriate interpretation of contract language.

• Provide clear, actionable expert feedback to improve model performance.

Evaluation Frameworks

• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for assessing AI performance on contract-related tasks.

• Apply evaluation standards consistently and rigorously.

• Translate legal reasoning into structured feedback suitable for AI training and evaluation.

Collaboration & Legal AI Development

• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine legal data, guidelines, and best practices.

• Contribute practical insights from real-world contract negotiation and review.

• Help improve AI-driven approaches to contract review and legal analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions.

• Strong experience negotiating and reviewing:

  • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)

  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

  • Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)

• Demonstrated experience with contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining.

• Strong legal analytical and reasoning skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to translate legal expertise and reasoning into clear, actionable feedback.

• Experience working effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage complex legal tasks independently.

• Interest in the intersection of law and technology.

• Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or AI training/evaluation is an advantage but not required.

• Corporate law firm experience in M&A or private equity fund formation is an advantage.
