Job Description

Role Overview

This team is seeking a hands-on Communications Manager to spearhead B2B Tech and Growth PR.

This is not a traditional agency management role or a simple copywriting position. It is a high-velocity, "scrappy" execution role designed for a professional who excels at manufacturing news in a fast-paced startup environment.

The primary objective is to build a narrative that captures US tech media attention and establishes the leadership team as industry authorities.

The ideal candidate is an expert in organic media pitching and executive ghostwriting who thrives on autonomy. You will be responsible for digging into internal operations to find engaging stories, pitching them directly to Tier-1 journalists, and building a culture of advocacy across social channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • News Manufacturing: Proactively identify and develop story angles from internal data and operations to ensure a consistent stream of news, even during quiet periods.
  • Media Relations: Execute direct, organic pitching to US tech media and Tier-1 publications (e.g., TechCrunch, Forbes) without the use of external agencies.
  • Executive Ghostwriting: Develop and manage the personal brands of the Founder and C-level executives, crafting high-impact LinkedIn/X content and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Multi-channel Distribution: Build and manage AI-assisted content pipelines to repurpose core ideas into newsletters, threads, and carousels to maximize Share of Voice (SoV).
  • Brand Advocacy: Foster a culture of internal advocacy, encouraging and coordinating employee participation in social distribution.

Requirements

  • B2B Tech Expertise: Deep experience within the B2B SaaS or tech marketplace sector is mandatory.
  • Proven Media Track Record: A portfolio demonstrating successful Tier-1 global tech media placements earned through direct, organic pitching.
  • Advanced Ghostwriting: Exceptional ability to capture executive voices and translate complex narratives into compelling social and editorial content.
  • Autonomous Execution: A "scrappy" mindset with the ability to deliver high organic yield without reliance on large budgets or corporate padding.
  • Communication: Advanced (C1/C2) English proficiency with a direct, fluff-free communication style.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with PR databases such as Muck Rack or Prowly and AI-assisted content workflow tools.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience launching or scaling B2B startups within the US market.
  • Background in modern GTM strategies, including podcast appearances and interactive client newsletters.
  • A track record of leveraging data-driven experiments to improve content distribution metrics.

What You'll Get

  • A fully remote role with flexible working hours and high autonomy.
  • The opportunity to work in a lean, fast-growing organization that despises bureaucracy and values direct results.
  • A clear progression path to own and scale the global communications function as the brand grows.
  • Exposure to a high-velocity environment where you can implement cutting-edge workflows and experiment with the latest PR technologies.

Additional Details

  • Location: Remote, USA
  • Regional Preference: South Africa, LATAM
  • Salary: $3,000 – $6,000 per month
