About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist to support expert evaluation work focused on commercial drugs and drug-development programs.
You will apply your epidemiological expertise to assess patient populations for specific drugs and indications, evaluate population estimates, and determine whether assumptions and supporting evidence are sound.
The engagement begins with a short paid pilot, with potential for recurring work as the project expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and critique rubrics for evaluating commercial drugs and drug-development programs.
- Size patient populations for specific drugs and indications using measures such as: Prevalence
- Incidence
- Diagnosed population
- Treated population
- Addressable patient population
- Evaluate the methodology and sources supporting patient-population estimates.
- Identify potential over-counting, under-counting, or other issues in population estimates.
- Apply epidemiological expertise across assigned drugs and indications.
Requirements
- US-based Epidemiologist.
- 5+ years of professional epidemiology experience.
- Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Familiarity with biotech and pharmaceutical development programs.
- Experience using real-world data, including claims, EHR, and registry data, to develop patient funnels.
- Strong ability to evaluate population estimates, methodologies, and supporting evidence.
- Deep understanding of patient population sizing and epidemiological analysis within the US market.
