How the Traditional template is laid out
Your name is printed in the accent colour, navy by default, and a 2 point rule closes the header. Section headings use small capitals with a thin tinted underline. Entries keep the familiar order of role, company and dates, so the page looks like a resume a bank or law firm would expect to receive.
Who should use Traditional?
Banking, finance, accounting, legal, teaching and public sector applications, and any employer where a conservative document is still the norm. It is also a good fit for candidates sending a resume by post or email to a named person.
Is Traditional ATS-friendly?
Small capitals are a font style, so the heading text is still stored as ordinary letters and maps cleanly to standard section names.
A writing tip for Traditional
Conservative readers check dates closely. Make sure there are no unexplained gaps and that each role shows month and year at both ends.
